First Descent reshapes the beginning of a run with a new opening route, more purposeful Wisp guidance, Symbol Puzzle Chests, and clearer combat presentation.

Opening A new first route The opening descent now follows a new route into the Labyrinth.
Story Wisp-guided moments Wisp guidance gives the opening journey more context and direction.
Puzzles Symbol Puzzle Chests New puzzle encounters reward players who read the Symbols and their clues.
Combat Clearer encounters Combat-readability improvements make the action easier to follow.

  • Polished run-progress tracking for treasure, elites, banners, and keys.

Combat and Exploration

  • Improved boss portal placement, proximity checks, and floating combat text.
  • Improved Party AI ability choices and NPC tactics behavior.
  • Improved older-save compatibility for playthrough event tracking.

Website and Main Menu

  • Refreshed the Early Access panel with clearer recent changes and current goals.
  • Added easier access to the website and Discord from the game menu.
  • Removed development-only menu tools from the public-facing menu.
